To all AMA members of ABATE of Delaware,

I recently received my copy of American Motorcyclist and was reading the resumes of those running for Board of Director’s of the Northeast Region.

Of the four (4) men running, only one (1) stands out as a true road rider.

While the other three (3) have impressive resumes, they are mostly racing and off road.

With the implosion of road riders in the past few years and the intrusion of our Federal Government in what we can and cannot do to our motorcycle, we need a road savvy person to represent us.

Personally, my vote goes to Paul Cote.

I met Paul a few years ago at an MRF Conference and have spoken to him a few times since.

I know he has what it takes to represent the motorcycle riders of America, both on and off the road.

 

I hope you will join me in supporting Paul for this position.

Please mail your postcard before January 15, 2008 to be counted.

     If you get any calls for interviews, please email or call Gary Hilderbrand.

Gary will be our spokesperson and he can set up interview times.

Several of you have had phone calls, please don't let these reporters or radio stations intimidate you. They are trying to do their job and trying to get the information fast.

your mailing list to receive your newsletters. Also, Gary says we need to be sending emails or letters to our senators and representatives asking them to keep this bill in committee. So, please let everyone you know and get those letters written.

Good morning,
I am sorry for not answering any emails, I have not had email access at home due to computer problems.
    
Dave and I have been in contact with Gary Hilderbrand and he has accepted the position of Legislative Coordinator.

Some of you may know Gary. He was our Legislative Coordinator at one time.

I will supply his phone number at our board meeting on Sunday.

Please put his name in all the newsletters and on the web sites.

Regarding SB 46, Gary said we need to target Senator Gary Simpson,

Senator Sorenson and Representative Maier.

Have members that live in these districts contact these 3 people.

 

Contact your representatives and ask them to vote no if it comes to that.

You can find your senators and representatives on the internet under Delaware.gov. 

Send emails, do phone calls or letters. They will be back in session on Tuesday.

So hopefully we will be told it isn't going any further, but we don't know at this point.

I will keep you informed as I get information and again I need to apoligize for no emails over the weekend.
